Tableware

The aim of my studio practice is to celebrate the dichotomy of make believe and reality.
I find particular interest in working with nostalgic images, as the past is often idealized and revered. My work has strong ties with the innocence of childhood juxtaposed with current world situations.
In the work I position the objects (made using commercial moulds and found objects) onto columns, cubes and spheres which act as plinths as well as creating environments for the objects to inhabit. These plinths further serve as canvasses for decoration with layers of glaze, air brushed colour, transfers and lustres.
